What's the difference between a 50-minute and a 90-minute session?

Your first appointment is a 50-minute consultation (£100). We talk about what's brought you to therapy, your history and your goals, and decide together whether EMDR is a good fit. Once we begin reprocessing, 90-minute sessions (£145) give enough time to work through a memory and finish feeling settled, which is hard to do in 50 minutes.

How many EMDR sessions will I need?

It depends on what you're working on. A single traumatic event can often be processed in 3–12 sessions. Complex or childhood trauma usually takes longer. We'll review progress regularly, and you're never locked into a set number of sessions.

How much does an EMDR intensive cost?

Each intensive day runs from 10am to 4.30pm, with around five hours of focused therapy and breaks built in. All-inclusive packages, covering your consultation, preparation, intensive days and a follow-up review, are £950 for one day, £1,495 for two days, £2,150 for three days and £2,995 for five days. Is online EMDR the same price?

Yes. Online sessions are the same price as the listed fees. Face-to-face sessions at The Tower Clinic in Cookridge, Leeds (8 Tinshill Lane, LS16 7AP) are an additional £15 to cover room hire.

Can I use private health insurance?

It depends on your insurer and your policy. Please check with your provider before your first session to see whether EMDR therapy is covered.

How do I pay?

You'll receive an invoice to pay before each session. To secure your intensive dates, a non-refundable deposit is required when you book: £150 for 1–2 day intensives, or 25% for 3–5 day intensives.

What's your cancellation policy?

50-minute sessions need 72 hours' notice, longer sessions (80 minutes or more) need 4 days' notice, and EMDR intensives need 1 week's notice. Sessions cancelled with less notice are charged in full.
