Helping you recover from trauma, anxiety and the experiences that still affect your life today.
I'm Jodie Slee, an experienced EMDR therapist and psychotherapist with over 17 years' experience helping people recover from trauma, anxiety, low self-worth and the lasting effects of difficult life experiences.
Whether you're struggling with childhood trauma, sexual trauma, betrayal, relationship breakdown or persistent negative beliefs about yourself, EMDR therapy can help your brain process what happened so those experiences no longer feel as overwhelming.
I offer EMDR therapy in Leeds and online across the UK, providing a compassionate, evidence-based approach that helps you move beyond simply coping and towards lasting recovery.

What is EMDR Therapy?
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based psychotherapy designed to help the brain process distressing memories and experiences that may continue to affect how you think, feel and respond today.
Rather than repeatedly talking through traumatic events, EMDR helps the brain reprocess memories so they become less emotionally overwhelming. Many people find that distressing memories feel more distant, negative beliefs lose their intensity, and they begin to respond differently in situations that once felt triggering.
EMDR is recommended by NICE for the treatment of PTSD and is increasingly used to help people experiencing anxiety, childhood trauma, complex trauma, sexual trauma, grief and low self-esteem.
Does This Sound Familiar?
You might recognise yourself in some of these experiences:
• You constantly overthink conversations or decisions.
• You feel anxious even when life seems to be going well.
• You struggle to believe you're good enough, despite your achievements.
• You keep repeating the same patterns in relationships.
• Something that happened years ago still affects your confidence or sense of safety.
• You're exhausted by carrying everything on your own.
You don't need to have all the answers before starting therapy. If you know something doesn't feel right, that's enough.

EMDR Suitability
Why EMDR?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a research-backed therapy that helps the brain reprocess painful memories and beliefs—often more rapidly and deeply than traditional talk therapy. It’s especially effective for people who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from their worth.
Ready to Begin?
I offer both weekly sessions and one-off EMDR intensives, depending on what suits you best. If you're curious about starting therapy—or want to know if EMDR is the right fit, I'd be happy to talk it through.
